JZ in the RB Idol Contest Justin Zakrajsek will be competing in the RB Idol contest on Thursday, June 27th at 7 PM at the Poway Performing Arts Center. Show your support for our awesome ex-Emerald Brigade musician and Saxy Man. Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance. For more information visit the Rancho Bernardo Spirit of the Fourth website. We are asking for your financial support of the PHS Instrumental Music Program. Tax-deductible donations can be make through our secure website. The budget to maintain our diverse music program at its current level of quality is roughly $130,000 per year. Jack Stamp gives one of the best examples of exactly why music education is so important and
belongs in our schools. Dr. Stamp is Director of Band Studies at Indiana University of
Pennsylvania.

This video is a way for incoming freshman and their parents to understand more about the marching
band and hopefully help them decide whether or not they would like to become a part of the organization.
Students should know that marching band is one of the best ways to not only continue excelling at their
instrument but also for making great friendships.

Freshman Picnic Sat, June 22, 11:30AM-3:00PM Meet and greet for student leadership and incoming PHS musicians at Lake Poway. Please RSVP to your section leader if you are able to attend. Pizza, drinks, and munchies will be provided. All are welcome to bring a favorite dish to share. Tue, July 2, 5:00PM Wed, July 3, 5:00PM Band Room, N-1. Mandatory rehearsals for all parade participants. Thur, July 4, 2:00PM Call Emerald Brigade marching in Rancho Bernardo's Spirit of the Fourth parade. Contact your section leader for more information. Wed, July 17, 5:00-8:00PM Thu, July 18, 5:00-8:00PM Band Room, N-1. The workshops will cover playing through some band warm-ups and reading though the fall field show. Along with some basic marching fundamentals. Please dress for the temperature and marching. Mon-Fri, Aug 12-16 Band Camp will start every morning at 7:30AM and will end 5:00PM M-W-F and will end 4:30PM on Tues & Thursday. Lunch will be from 11:30AM to 1:00PM every day. Make sure you dress for warm days in the sun. Bring plenty water and sunscreen!! Friday evening after 6:30 PM, we will have a concert for family and friends. |
