4th of July Celebration and Fireworks July 4, 7pm 
One of the annual fundraising events that the Boosters participate in is helping the City of Poway host the 4th of July Fireworks Show held at the Poway High School Stadium. The city provides half of the admissions received to the Boosters in return for our volunteer support of the event. Throughout the evening we will oversee admissions into the stadium, concession sales and security. Last year we made almost $3000 in just 3 hours!! This year, there will be a DJ playing music and keeping the crowd entertained as the fireworks are prepared. We will be selling pre-packaged food and drinks at the stadium as well as glow necklaces as part of our fundraising efforts. The gates open at 7:00 p.m. but we will need some people to begin security around 5 or 5:30 and the rest of the folks around 6-6:30. We will need approximately 16 adults to work the perimeter security (8 groups of 2), 10-12 volunteers to work ticket sales at the 2 entrances, and 12 volunteers to help in the concession sales. (Ten of them can be high school students). They will be selling candy, chips and drinks along with glow necklaces. Additionally, we will need to ask for a few volunteers to stay at the end of the show to help do a quick clean up of the field and track area. We usually finish around 10:00 p.m. Please let us know if you are available to take on a volunteer role. You get free admission to a great show, and you will help the Boosters support the Music Program at Poway High.
